Project Vision
To become the next generation of mindfulness researchers, teachers, and practitioners that center racial justice in mindfulness and mindfulness in racial justice.
Project Mission
To offer adult and continuing education courses and opportunities that support increased mindfulness- and compassion-based:

- racial awareness
- racial resilience
- racial stamina
- capacity-building
To mitigate decreasing life expectancies of Black women in Wisconsin by prioritizing their increased access to adult and continuing education courses/opportunities (see above), in turn supporting their emotional well-being.
To prioritize the increased participation of Black community and family members in mindfulness- and compassion-based research by serving as a trusted partner/liaison/information resource in the research development and implementation process.
Project Activities
- Adult education classes that focus on mindfulness- and compassion-based racial awareness, racial resilience, racial stamina, and/or capacity building.
- Continuing education courses (CEUs/CEs) that focus on mindfulness- and compassion-based racial awareness, racial resilience, racial stamina, and/or capacity building.
- Traineeships and internships that focus on mindfulness- and compassion-based racial awareness, racial resilience, racial stamina, and/or capacity building.
- Research development and implementation strategies (e.g., research design, participant recruitment, retention, research staff trainings, etc) for engaging Black families and community members in mindfulness- and compassion-based research.
